This is essentially what it's going to look like:

nooo i can't get excited about this!
Front end looks Dodge-ish, no?

I don't like how bubbly and almost future-istic these new trucks are looking. Just not my style maybe.

Peace.

To each their own. Hard-core Toyota guys will go for it no questions asked. It might be a harder sell to the domestic loyalists. But they're claiming a 10,000 lb. towing capacity. If that's the case, they'll probably win some converts on that alone. That said, if someone needs to tow that bad, it seems like they'd step up to a 3/4 or 1-ton, an area where the domestics still have an edge (for now.)

I like the looks of the new Tundra, at least from the pix I have seen.
I have an 06 that I LOVE. I won't be trading it in for a new 07.
I am looking forward to actually seeing one in person.

I saw it in person at the SEMA Show. It's one big hoss, that's for sure. Looks pretty nice. I think it'll be competitive with the other FS trucks because of the expanded number of body/cab configurations. I've also heard it's going to be really expensive. Sure, it'll get hard-core Toyota loyalists, but if it's not priced right, its gains on Ford & Chevy will be incremental.

I just read somewhere that the new Tundra is going to have 381 horsepower with the 5.7L iForce V-8. You think this is legit, or just Toyota propaganda put out there by the Kool-Aid drinkers?

Bought a '07 Double Cab 4x4 5.7 SR5 on Monday.  Traded in a '03 Access Cab 4x4 4.7 on it.  Paid a few pennies under $36K out the door.
I really wanted to get a GMC Sierra 6.0 - to me, a better looking truck.  Decided to wait a couple weeks until the new Tundra was available.  The Tundra was just plain a better drive - smooth as silk, loads of power, better turning radius.  Comparably equipped, it was ~$3 LESS than the GMC.  Decided I wasn't buying it to admire the sheet metal....

Yeah, I've heard they're really rockets with the 5.7. You've been happy so far?
