Who thinks the Hardbody is one of the sweetest-looking mini truck body styles? Me!

You talking about the front or rear axle?

Your best bet will be to use a Dana 44 from an 80's Grand Wagoneer. It's driver side drop, same as the nissan t-case. For doing this kind of thing on a budget you may want to talk to "lordbiotree" on the forum at Rugged Rocks Off Road or on Nissan 4 Wheelers. he is on quite a few boards.

You will most likely end up using wagoneer leaf springs as well. and fabing up your own shock mounts. you can also use the Calmini front spring hanger and bell shackle kit. feel free shoot over any questions you have either here or on any of the mentioned nissans boards.

Hi,
I have a 1988 Nissan Hardbody (std cab).  I am looking to replace the bench seat and put in buckets/bench buckets.  I would like to avoid any modifications or drilling.  Any suggestions?
Thanks

You might have to add two additional seat rails to convert it to bucket or bench/bucket combo. i would think the template would already be stamped into the floor panel, but you might have to do some minor drilling for the new rails. Anyone have any experience with this?

This might sound stupid, but...
I own a '95 Hardbody XEV6 (2wd) and was wondering if the older style hood, the one with the three slots in the front, would fit on the '95 model.

Buckets from hardbody truck of later yr and or pathfinder are bolt in mod. Check under benchseat near trany hump you should see 2 bolt holes on each side for buckets to bolt to. just make sure if you go to junkyard and get seats that rails are still on seats.

i need help finding out what is wrong with my truck. The head gasket has blowed and we put K&W Block seal in it. And it still smokes, but the smoke smells like oil but it is stem. What would be the best thing to do.

my '84 hardbody engine is strong-it's the body that is falling apart. I just pulled up the carpet and the floor panel is rusted out bad- anyone know if you can buy complete floor panels to replace old ones with? Also the door has problems so am looking for a replacement- is it simple to remove & install doors? My seats are shot too and want to replace buckets with a bench if I can but haven't found one that will accomodate the 4WD shift. Any suggestions? Thanks
