92 chevy engine swap 4.3 V6 to a 350 V8

Never done anything like this before so need some feedback.
I have a 92` 1500 truck thinking of changing V6 to a V8 . I called the Dealer about a crate engine , but they dont offer the wiring harness anymore. i`d love to slap a 350 in it , i have a 700r tranny so i know it bolts up and i know i can reuse most of the acces, from V6.
I just need some help anything will help.

is this truck TBI? if it is as far as i know the original wiring should work. just get 350 injectors
however i have heard that the computer might shut off the 350 at 4800 rpm because the computer think its still the v6 and its revving much higher. that was in a newer dime though it may be different for TBI FSC's  

yeah i was told i had to rechip the computer.
just found out that the wiring harness is the same for V6 to V8 according to painless wiring.
also found out i would be able to reuse most of the accessories also.
any other comments would be helpful  

Fan shroud is different, motor mounts attached to frame need to be moved back to the back holes, tranny can stay but dont expect it to last very long without tranny cooler, make sure u get the right accesory brackets, I know of 5 different bracket setups for this type of swap, and last but not least that I can think of is make sure the exhaust manifolds you get will work with your setup, lotsa clearance issues on the center dump ones.  

not putting fan shroud back , putting flex-a-lite dual fans and had to get bigger radiator.i know i had to buy new motor mounts , moved forward , pain bolts were in croosmember , had limited space to work with , but got them bolted in.also had to replace bracket for power steering , V6 bracket too small wont work. most all brackets on top are wrong.
wiring has to be longer alittle bit for A/C , but not much.  also think metal fuel lines too short.
motor is in , edlebrock headers went in no problem, bolted up perfect, with crossover pipe. talked to chevy house , said tranny would be fine. already have tranny cooler on it, so should be no problem there.  

ok , so again ive found....
since ive put headers on it , power steering bracket is set up for factory headers , had to make new pump bracket. a/c wiring was fine.
top end brackets had to modify to work. fuel lines needed to be changed/or extended. a couple of sensor wires did have to be extended , nothing major.looks great in the truck.
granted may have been some work , but all worth it.  

ok and again....
fuel lines where ok , but alittle bending to where i need them and good to *** only one wire needed to be made longer
everything else fell into place....  

been driving truck for a couple of weeks now. drives really well , just need to go through break-in period now...  

I'm very interested in more dialogue regarding this issue.  This is the very thing that I'm going to be doing to my 1992 Chevy Scottsdale.  Is yours an automatic?  This would be the only reason I could think of your need for a tranny cooler.  If you don't mind sharing your trials and experience with me that would be awesome.  I live in a state that requires IM testing.  Did your conversion meet with success when converting the emissions from the V6 to the V8?

Sounds like you've got things figured out already and this would save me a ton of extra research if you don't mind.

Do you know of any swaping books that are available if I were to replace a 4.3 V/6 in a 88-92 Blazer/Jimmy (2WD) with a 283 V/8???
I have an old edition of the JTR book on swaping a 4.3 V/6 for a 305 V/8...
It just happens that I have 4 complete 283 engines and would like to use one if it is possible...
