alright so I have a 1977 chevy half ton and i really want to make it look good. right now it is in pretty good condition and totaly stock, no power steering, no power anything come to think of it. so anyways i want to keep it fairly stock but add a few things to make it stand out a bit. i was thinking of lowering it 4-6 inches and throwin some 20's on it, i havent figured out what to do paint-wise yet, but i have some ideas, then i was thinking about just keeping the interior stock with the exception of a new sterio system because the original one is pre historic. anyways i am thinking about covering the indent in the tailgate and smoothing it out, then puttin a rol pan in, so my question is, has anyone heard of a kit to put the handle on the inside of the tailgate, or has anyone tried it and done it successfully?

Handle relocaters are available from many of the sposors inside of truckin. Stay away from the universal fit kits, and if you are a junk hound as I am try looking for a mid 80's elcamino, and source the inside guts from it. A few mods need be done but not much.
