A story in the Wall Street Journal said Toyota is already offering incentives on the all-new 2007 Tundra. Although dealers are claiming a 30 percent conquest rate from domestic trade-ins, the regular-cab model has been a somewhat slow seller, the double-cab accounting for most sales. In light of the Silverado's strong sales last month, do you think this spells trouble ahead for Toyota's new hoss, or just a temporary hiccup on its path to dominance in the full-size half-ton segment?

I would say that it is a safe bet that it is only a small hicup. This truck has been on the market for how long now? Couple months? Toyota has to do something to get the attention of the fullsize truck buyer. Really now, who in the full size market is going to even consider a Tundra given their past (weak).
Besides, that article only says they are giving a miniscule 1500 off the strip down most basic work truck version. It says nothing about the big hoss consumer truck.
