How do I find a year on a truck that has the vin# ground off. Any help would be awseme as I got this truck from my grandpa when he died so he never finished it for my 16th B-day.Please help me so I can get the true parts for my truck.Thanks.

Sometimes the VIN will be stamped on the frame somewhere. Usually, in the door jamb, it will have a build date for the vehicle. If you have that information, you can usually contact the manufacturer, and they could probably give you a VIN on the truck with a few hints from other sources on the vehicle. I'd also check your state's DMV. They usually have a listing of manufacturer contacts. I had to do that when I got my car smogged, and it no longer had the original hood on it.
