Canada has a strong showing of Sport Trucks. We love the custom truck scene. It gives me a good idea, I am going to go and get some photos, info. from some of the classy daily drivers around my city, I can think of a few off the top of my head. I would love to post them on the site and show you guys how we do it here when there isn't 2 feet of snow. Canada Represnt!

I have some good footage of the first drag race of the season, there was about 6 trucks there. I will see if i can get it edited and added to the site. I was having issues with my camera battery but i think i shot some good footage. I will be checkin out a lot of the races this year and i will keep the footage comin.

Lemme ask you guys. Do you think there is a particular Canadian "style" to custom trucks up there? What do you think is the essence of a Canadian custom truck? Just curious.

At least where I am there are no lifted suv's they are all lowered with huge rims and boomin sound systems. Truks are more often raised than lowered because they go off and play in the mountians with off roading in the summer and in the winter they go backcountry skiing or snowmobiling. The lowered trucks really stand out though, they are often painted lambo lime green, orange or red and are not really that concerned with tucking so much as driveability.

There are mostly lifted trucks around here too. Lifted trucks are dime a dozen, its the lowriders that, in my opinion, really turn heads.

I have the magnaflow too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty(the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here. magnaflow 16901, or you can try one of the vendors here, they are allways runnign sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install.

I see this thread has been resurrected after a couple years.
I'm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan... alot of letters, but a good rhythm when you say it! We're due north of the Dakotas and suffer frigid snowy winters, seem to start as early as October and end as late as May... otherwise we can drive our street machines.
Most trucks here are winter warriors and bush hoppers! Hunting and fishing are very popular here. 4X4s are very popular (mid and full size) for navigating ice, snow and mud. Our region is primarily agricultural, so trucks have to be as hard-working as our farmers are! Many trucks in our region are luxurious and classy, to go out on the town or to church on Sunday... truck-based limousines are a normal sight here.
The last couple years has seen a couple lowered Pathfinders, Blazers, S10s, Silverados and F150s emerge here. People here love their trucks!
Me, I'm a van guy... can't imagine carrying music gear in the back of a cold pickup in January... I'll take it in one of my three vans... all going under the knife this spring. Connecting with other enthusiasts from Alberta to Manitoba to form a new club... Prairie Vanners.

I am proud to be on the staff of one of the largest, if not THE largest truck show in Canada. It's called Vanfest, held in Aylmer, Ontario the second weekend of June. It is a 3 day party, open to all types of trucks and vans. We have nearly 300 through the gate, with well over 125 showing on Saturday. The show features many classes and top 5 awards in all classes. There are also numerous "best of" awards, including Best Truck and Best Van. Camping is available, and included in the gate price for the weekend. Need more info? Contact me (mvlhoward@aol.com) and I can mail you a flyer!
