My mega cab is a 1500 HEMI. It is in the body shop right now. Some a-hole rea-ended me. come to find out he didn't have insurance. I hate stupid people. I am thankful that the only damage was to my bumper. His car was totaled.

Sorry about that. Sucks when that happens. Hope it's out of the body shop soon. I'm assuming insurance is going to cover most of it (minus deductible, of course.) What are your plans for it? Anything special? BTW, check out the latest Mega Cab feature out of the magazine:

Yeah I talked to the body shop and they are waiting on a new tow hitch being shipped from Michigan. He said hopefully be the end of the week. I did check out that mega cab. That is very nice and I wish that mine was like that. But I am a poor hard working guy that can't afford to do all of the mods that I want to do. I am going to get a spray-in bedliner, Gaylord X2000 Tonneau, Flowmaster exhaust, K&N cold air intake. These are about the only things that I can afford to do right now. I am sure that I will get a lift kit and rims later on down the road.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm just a working stiff myself. I wonder where some of these guys get the money to build these trucks. Either their plastic is maxed-out, or they have a second mortgage! But I can appreciate the work and effort that goes into making them.

I'm just curious what made you interested in the Mega Cab. The Quad Cab offers a decent-sized rear seat. Not huge, but OK. The Mega Cab is just like a freakin' limo in the back! Do you have a family or kids?

yes I do have a family. I will never buy another truck that is smaller than the mega cab. I have been spoiled now. I have always grown up around large trucks. my father bought an 06 2500 Mega cab 4x4 SLT cummins. I just had to one up him and get the 07 1500 4x4 Laramie HEMI. The only thing that i wish that it had is a longer bed. I know that the extra cab space takes its place but i think that it would be great to have that 8ft bed along with the extra 2 ft inside the cab. just my opinion.

I have another question for ya'll. I am looking to add some bass to the Mega cab and looking for a subwoofer box for behind the seat. I am looking to install 2 12" Fosgate P2's. I had a sub box for two 10's but it was too big to fit behind the seat by like an inch and half. My question is: Has anyone built or found something that will fit behind the seat to house two 12's? Please let me know if you have seen or know of anyone that has one or built one. Thanks in advance. Steve

Steve, have you thought about some Kicker Solo-Barics? I'm wondering if the square design might give you a few more packaging options. I haven't had any personal experience with Kicker products, so I don't know about their quality, but they're definitely unique.

I put 2 12" p2s behind the seat in a box that I custom made. I had to take out the cargo box in the back to get it to fit but it was worth it. I am starting to have a problem with it draining my batt. I am wondering if the alternator is not big enough to keep up with it? Oh well. I have posted new pics of the ride but none with the box installed yet. I have pics that I took during the box build. It wasn't as hard as I thought that it would be to build my own box.
