162 mph in a ls1/nitrous powered S10 blazer. 158 mph in my 6.0 colorado. That was as fast as I could stand in a truck. It had alot more to go .

A old friend of mine had a 1980 scottsdale i believe. he had a straight 250 6 cyl. it had 6 carb's on it and what ever else was done to it. all i know and remember is he was clocked doing 154 mph at norway racepark in norwalk ohio in 1984. i was only 16 at the time when he took me for a ride. the front end came off the ground. as i got older i realized the motor doesn't have to be all that big. just use the right gears and know what your doing and you can a little into a lot.

Yeah, if you knew how to tune them right, those old sixes could scream! I'll bet you anything he had some Clifford parts on it. Their slogan is "6=8."

Not in a truck, but I was ridin with one of my buddies who got up to 105mph in a Honda Accord on our lunch break on a busy road in Baton Rouge. He was racing one of our co-workers who got his saturn to 95. Pretty Stupid to be doin in the middle of the day in a Capitol City! Never will again!

Zoykes! That's nuckin' futs for a truck that heavy! But then again, it's not unheard of for modded diesels to crank out 1,000+ lbs./ft. so I believe it.

they run in 4 wheel drive too! he spools up the turbo and when he launches it gets pretty nuts. There is some Diesel drags here at the end of the month or in aug i cant remember what he said so i will get to see some really fast diesels.

Had a friend in High school who had a '67 chevy short wide with a built 327. It would absolutely take your breathe away off the line. I think, at one time, he was running high 14's in that old truck!!!
