Any Toyota Previa owners out there? Anybody that has any experience working on them? Anybody have any suggestions for fixing the Supplemental Accessory Drive shaft squeal apart from replacing the shaft? This seems to be a common problem in older Previas. Almost every one I see on the road makes this noise. Unfortunately, a new shaft is about $1,000.

Yes, I'm having a similar problem with my 1994.  Not just the "spaceship sounding squeal" but a rattling too.  I JUST found out yesterday that the kit from the toyota dealership is P/N D4374.  $275.00.  Labor = $400.  The rubber mounts at either end of the drive shaft need replacing.  My mechanic found this out for me but he doesn't do this and said I'd be better off having the dealership do it.  They'll try to talk me into the whole shaft, but it's not needed.  Hope this helps

Yank the whole drivetrain out and put a small block in it with a 9" Ford rear, LOL!
