I found this video online of the Super Van built by George Barris. Have any memories or recollections of this? Seen it in person? Talk about it here!

Saw it in person a few years back. Right after it was restored. The company that did the resto did a top notch job.
I hear it's for sale

The Supervan or the Love Machine as it was first called was way ahead of it's time. Many of the mods done on vans afterwards were patterned after what George Barris did to the Supervan. As a kid I saw the Love Machine in an ISCA show in the early 70's, then I saw it as Supervan. Somehow this is one of the least popular of George's creations, yet they even made a movie of it. The van was built in the early 70's and was last seen in a sci-fi movie of tv show at that time. Then a Canadian company bought it and it was restored on the television show Chop Cut Rebuild. I was fortunate to see it in progress as it was being restored and we were able to have it come to Vanfest in 2004. Have many pictures of it here: http://showtrux.com/showvans/supervan/index.html
George Barris is a very good friend to vanners and had a private open house for us during the 2006 Council of Councils van convention in California.
