New Hummer H4 a go for Production! See it here!

Rumors have been flying for some time about the so-called baby Hummer, also known as the H4. Now, according to Automotive News and the Hummer fan site Hummer Guy, the small SUV project is in development and has received the go-ahead for production.

While the model year predictions are different -- anywhere from 2009 to 2011 is being tossed about -- one thing is clear, the long-awaited small Hummer is on the fast track to dealer showrooms. According to Hummer Guy, a concept version of the vehicle, called the HX, will first be seen at the 2008 Detroit show and has already been shown to Hummer dealers by brand honcho Martin Walsh.

 

Again, that's the H3 concept truck from a few years ago. We're probably not going to see what the actual H4 is going to look like (or close to it) 'til the '08 Detroit show.
