I don't know if any of you guys have had any experience with the VW Vanagon, but I think it's a pretty awesome van. I know it's not super-fast or anything, but the packaging on that thing is amazing. I can't believe how much interior room that thing has for as big as it is. I've used my father-in-law's '89 to move once, and it's always handy for big & bulky items. Shoot, if I had a place for one, I think it'd make a great 3rd vehicle. Yeah, I know if you get in a frontal collision, you can kiss your legs goodbye, but I still like 'em. I'll take my chances.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing what you can cram into those things. But they're gutless as heck. Actually, around town, since they've got like 5.40 gears or something insane like that, they're not too bad, but they're a little dicey merging onto the freeway, and 85 is about the fastest you can go without having to worry about the engine blowing up. But yeah, they're good workhorses for what they are.

Not dissing VW's, but any van has lots of room like that. You can't even imagine how many amps, speakers and tv's you can cram in one
