I have a 2005 Sierra Crew Cab that has been lowered with a 2/3 drop. Replaced the leaf springs and front springs with DJM's. The drivers side sits perfect but the passenger side is almost an inch higher (front and rear). I know that I can trim the front spring but what about the rear? Several people talked about the "Chevy Lean". "All of the GM trucks have a lean from the factory and is never really notice till the trucks are lowered" How true is this?
Update: Found the reason these GM trucks lean. GM even has a repair kit to correct the leaning that is caused from the way the trucks are tied down on the transport trucks. The GM kit will not help me because I do not want to raise my drivers side to correct the problem. But this info could help others.

"the problem is in the left rear of the truck, next time you see a transport truck look at the way the chevy,s are tie down. i work for a chevy dealership as an auto body tech and a few years ago we got paid by gm to correct the tweak on the frame. the problem is these truck are tied down on the front, and only on the left rear, and they actually twist the frame down a bit from the backside of the ***

Do you honestly think strapping down a truck could bend the frame? I think it is because tha gas tank and the battery are both on the same side. You don't have to use the GM fix, you could always go old school and cut the front coil on the passenger side this should lower the pass front and slightly raise the driver back.

It does not bend the frame. It just gives it a little twist. GM is aware of the problem and make a kit to fix it. A GM customer would only notice this when the truck is lowered like mine. I measured two other trucks a 2005 and 2006 extended cabs and they had a 1 inch lean also. I corrected mine with a 1 inch lower shackle on the higher side and the truck is level.
