hey. I own a 1993 toyota pickup dually. It has a 3.0 v6 engine. I got it from my dad, which he retired it from his business. now, I'm trying to restore it, taking the box bed off and put a dually bed. The truck was involve in a accident and I have started to take off the fenders and next I am taking off the box bed. I need help on how to get or to make a custom bed for my ride. any ideas???? What is the biggest engine I can install in this pickup?? pictures of this truck can be found at this web page below: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/out-of-production-trucks-and-suvs/92157-1993-toyota-pickup-dually-bed/
any help will work for me.

I've seen Toyotas with Chevy 350s in them, so in terms of a big engine, should be able to fit it. But you'd probably have to upgrade the tranny & driveline, too. '93 was right before the Tacoma, but I think at some point, they made a Sportside Tacoma. You might be able to do something with those fenders if you cut & widen the bed a little. They did a Sportside Tundra, too, but not everybody likes the look of it.
Also, I'd consider doing a 4x4/4Runner nose on it. I've seen that on a lot of minis, and it looks real clean. You'd probably have to swap out the front fenders & bumper, too.
Hope this helps.
