Well, wheatman, I guess it's better than getting our Rangers from Thailand...Sad to see Ford abandon a market segment it so dominated. I can't see a bright future that keeps abandoning staple markets right and left. Maybe Ford should just change its name to F-series since that is all it will be left with.

I agree Bro, Ford and Chevy are both going in the wrong directions IMO.

I place the blame squarely with Ford with this one. Over the past decade, it's essentially abandoned its domestic product line-up aside from full-size trucks, SUVs, and the Mustang.
If you let something hang around for 20+ years and get stale, you're going to get whomped by competitors coming out with all-new models every 5-7 years.
I actually kind of like the looks of the Thai-built Ranger, but it kind of sounds like they're going to pull the plug on the Ranger in the States, for now.
