Seasons greetings to " TRUCKIN" and all members here. I have just joined today and am glad to see some van coverage in this excellent magazine. I bought it in the 70`s just for the van articles. I feel that what made vanning so popular was the many van clubs that exposed the general public to the exciting concept of custom vans as a family sport. I believe that the revival of your local van club will be a great help in bringing Vanning to the public eye once again. Do any forum members belong to a Van Club in Canada or the US? I hope that this magazine continues to help the sport of vanning get back on it`s feet and we as Vanners in turn support this magazine.

Greetings back at you!
Believe it or not vanners have been surviving since back in the 70's. I must say that I didn't get into Vanning until the 80's, but there are quite a few vanners from the 70's still going strong. Some runs too!
Check out www.vannin.com and www.vandomain.com for other forums and a lot of Vanners. The vandomain web site is run by a great bunch of Canadian vanners.

Thanks for posting, Superbeast. I wasn't sure what the 411 was on Canadian van clubs. I've found there are van nuts all around the world, and we love 'em all!

Yes there are I'm actually a member of 3 van clubs.
Tricky Truckers, NJ Van Clan + One, Canada Manse Vans, Finland
We have even had brief visits over at www.vannin.com from a club out of Singapore. We have also seen vanners from England, Itally, Norway, The Netherlands, Austrailia, Germany, and a few others, I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Yeah. I'm actually kind of jealous of the Europeans. They have so many van choices over there!

Yeah, they do have a lot of choices. I don't really like a lot of them, but there are some that would look cool customized.

Welcome to the site! Hopefully, Truckin' will increase it's support of vanning even more because it is a great tool to introduce the general public to, as you said so well, this family sport. I personally have a great feeling about so I renewed my subscription for 2 years (having a strong Can $ helped convince me too... LOL)
For now, vanners gather mostly on vannin.com.
Which part of Canada are you from? I'm from Montreal.

Yeah. Best advice I can give you guys is if you want to see more vans in the magazine, is keep writing the editors. If they get enough feedback, they'll feature more of them. Welcome again!

While we are on the subject. I'm always curious as to what is the best way to reach the editors. Is it by direct e-mail, snail-mail, this message board?
