Hey y'all, I'm new here but have been getting truckin' for about 3 years. I have a '94 Chevy Silverado Standard cab, longbox, and a 1960 Ford F100. The Chevy is my new project, it was intended to be a beater, until the tranny went out. Now I've decided to do some tweaks to it. First off body work, some of the norms, escalade clip, billet grill, roll pan, different door handles, and new paint. But it's what's going under the hood that excites me, and maybe some of you. My engine of choice is most any Oldsmobile V8, and I just happened to have a 425 olds with a TH400. So that's what the chevy is getting. With a few upgrades, Edelbrock Performer Aluminium Heads, edelbrock 4brl intake, not decided on carb. Hooker Headers, Harland Sharp Roller Rockers, Isky Cam, and a set of Cherry bomb glass packs and stainless exhaust. Just thought you guys might be interested. I also am putting a 394 in a '60 F100 and a 303 in a Model A. I think it's the water around these parts, cause my neigbor has catepillar road grader with a 455....

wow.. that sounds pretty intresting. the only part i really dont understand is why everyone insits on escalade front clips?!?! i personally think they end up making the truck look like total crap, but thats just me. i suggest to just leave the origanal clip on instead!

Well, would it be better if it was say a denali front clip? I have thought of other things, phantom grills, different billet grills. But to me the escalade front clip really makes the truck look nice. And with a billet grill, with no emblem, I think it will really stick out in the crowd, all the other body things I have planned for it should help it out a bit. But you'll just have to wait to see it on the cover of truckin' or atleast in the readers rides section....

Actually the only differance between the 2 clips is the emblem in the grill. I'd post pics of the truck but right now it looks like every other White Chevy 1500 with the stripped down 'utility package'. I'll post pics when I get closer to putting the engine in though.

I like the sonoma clip much better than the chevy, but I'm that way most of the time with chevy and gmc stuff, the GMCs to me have always looked better. I think the lights are bigger because they're not split like the chevy's. What year is yours? If it's the boxy style one you could use a bravad front end, something a little different.
