What's your favorite Ford Van? The early flat-noses? The '68 Econoline, The Gen-III, or the Gen IV?

I am a flat nosed fan, but I see potential in all vans....well maybe not the sprinters, LOL.
I am building a 64 Econoline, a dream that started for me in high school, way back in the 70's. But I have to say I wouldn't mind customizing a Panel Caravan or an Astro for that matter. Vans are just a blank canvas waiting for a custom touch.

I like the early (1961-1967)forward control Econolines. I own a 1966 and I just bought a 1964 Econoline that I will be going all show and go with. The 64 will have a Clifford Performance 6=8 300 ci straight six with three Weber carbs with Redline throttle body injection. An AOD tranny and narrowed Ford 9" with Boyd Coddington rims and Mickey Thompson tires along with an air ride system, Arc Audio sound system, 42" TV and a 17" TV and leather interior among many other mods. It will be candy apple blackcherry with tru fire all around. I am looking for sponsors for this van so if you know of anyone that would like to sponsor the paint or leather interior let me know.

I'm no Ford expert... Far from that. But I do know that my favorite Ford van is referred to as the Mid-Ford. The really short nose one like this:
![]() As a specific Ford van, my favorite is this one. It's named Warship:
![]() In fact, I think that if I'm really lucky, it will be my next van once I'm done with the Astro and pass it on to my wife. Cross your fingers...
