OTGP Ford Lightning Front Suspension Package 1997-2003 Ford F-150 2WD Pickups?1999-2004 Ford F-150 Lightning Pickups Comes with tubular upper and lower control arms, and a power rack and pinion kit.
On the Ground Performance Upper Control Arms use Moog replacement ball joints fitting the factory spindle with no modifications. We have re-designed the upper control arm to cater to the performance market that demands a quality part to match the strains of speed and handling. The ball joint is relocated to the rear of the vehicle for an additional three plus degrees of positive caster, as well as being shifted outboard to compensate for lowered vehicles to achieve 0° of camber if necessary. The ball joint angle has been changed to correct angularity problems associated form lowered vehicles with stock upper control arms. The ball joint is now correctly aligned with the spindle. These control arms are sold only through one dealer, Woodbine Motorsports. OTGP Control Arms use Moog replacement ball joints fitting the factory spindle with no modifications. We have re-designed the lower control arm to cater to the performance market that demands a quality part to match the strains of speed and handling. The ball joint angle has been changed to correct angularity problems associated form lowered vehicles with stock type control arms. The ball joint is now correctly aligned with the spindle. These tubular lower control arms are half the weight of the stock stamped steel control arms. On the Ground Performance Power Rack & Pinion Kit comes complete with a tubular fabricated mounting crossmember that self locates in the chassis. A 15:1 power rack, all lines, fittings, stainless steel universal joints, steering shaft, and idler bearing, as well as a fabricated steering idler bracket and all hardware necessary for a complete bolt-in assembly. Sweet setup! How many hours is the install on a project like this? Do you offer to do it for F-150 owners? I know the front suspension, on the Lightning especially, can feel a bit wobbly under hard acceleration for these model years. Does this help alleviate some of this?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I didn't know we wouldn't get email notifications about messages. As far as the install it takes about 3 hours if you have a lift to work off of, a little longer if you have to jack the vehicle and work off of the floor, we can install the parts however the company that we manufacture the parts for would most likely be best for that. We only do the design and manufacturing of these components. Woodbine Motorsports is the only authorized dealer of the suspension kits. If you send over an email to us I will send you their contact info if you dont already have it. The system greatly adds to the stability of the ride durring acceleration as well as overall handling, a lot of that has to do with the increased caster as well as much less flexing than the factory control arms. If you need any additional info feel free to contact us dirrectly at (410) 549-1112 or email tech@onthegroundperformance.com
Thanks for your interest!
