My only question after reading that is, why on earth was he driving around so much up in Wisconsin? Was he confused and trying to drive away from the cold and realized he couldn't?

Dealer, do you get the puff of smoke when you first start it up in the morning? I had a friend that had a 4.3, and it would always do that, but ran great otherwise.

um yes, actually i did but i changed the valve seat on it and it stopped after that.

Still Chevy dominates.Its GMC counterpart is even better though.

Our chrome and bumper guys delivery truck is a 2002 Chevy 1500 and it has like 435,000 on it.......Like a rock
My wife hates trucks...Sure gonna miss her :-)

i got a 1988 1/2 ton chevy i've had for about 4 years. the odometer says 288,651. my brother had it before me, he said it stoped bout 5 years before i got it!!! at a guess, it has possibly well over 350k miles!!!

i have a 90 ext cab with 253000 on it and not too long ago it ran down a new pony mind you its got some go fast goodies but original block and tranny

My 98 has 680 000 Kms no smoke, no probs, Had a intake gasket done thats it.
