Eamonn-
Wow, a Silverado SS in the UK? How do you handle it if you ever need to take one of the back B-roads that you guys have over there? I have been to the UK a few times but only ever driven in a Supermini and an old MG. I can't imagine doing it in a Silverado SS! Wow, you must get a lot of attention! While a Silverado SS wouldn't get you much notice over here, I wonder what people used to their Vauxhalls anad Peugeots make of you!

lol I'm used to driving Big American cars n trucks over here, I've had them for the last 25 years or so my last truck was a 2000 Silverado ext cab with a 8ft bed lol and a k5 blazer before that, 66 step side before that and so on  most of the roads over here can take big trucks and buses so of they fit I'll fit , i do get some strange looks sometimes but there's loads of American iron over here and there quite a few of us who use them as daily drivers even with gas at $9.00 a gallon...

the best part of owning the SS one of 3 that i know of in the UK is when i get to a red light with a ricer who thinks hes quick, they sure look surprised when a huge black truck blows em away..

next time you in the UK Balboa455 Drop me a line, the UK is relatively small compared to the USA I'll meet up and buy you a beer and show you how much fun American trucks can be over here lol..

Thanks for the welcome

Wow! $9 a gallon! And us Yanks whine when it's $3! You have to be a pretty committed truck enthusiast to be willing to pay that. I'm still waiting for the half-ton diesels to come out here in the States.
