Ok last year I made my final payment on the 02 escalade. I really like it and I'm very happy with it but those new ones just look so much better.
I'd buy a newer one but let's face it, I still have low miles on mine and a new one would be like $50K more than I want to pay.
I noticed that the body style didn't change much. If anything 07-08's suspencion took a dump and went back to leaf springs instead of independent, and I'm not sure if they're even AWD anymore.
To me it seems like GM upgraded the plastic and decreased the perks but whatever, they look great.
So my question is WHEN WILL SOMEONE DO A 02-06 TO 07+ CONVERSION! If I'm going to spend $20K on a new conversion I wanted to look new.
How bout it! anyone want to take up the challange then send me the bill ?? JR

JR, The new Escalades still have rear coils. I don't know who told you they went to leaf springs. The GMT-900s are great trucks & SUVs, but they can be expensive (especially the Escalade.)
I've seen the '07 front ends on older models, but I'm not sure if anyone makes a bolt-on "kit" yet to put the '07 nose on the '02-'06 models. If there's a good custom shop in your area, they could probably do it for you, but plan on spending $6,000-10,000 on doing the conversion.
If anyone knows of a company developing or sellng a kit to put the '07 nose on the GMT-800 models, please reply to this thread!
