my buddy was driving my truck and lost control due to no suspension since trucks slammed but...he hit ditch and gas gauge stopped working anyone got any ideas how to fix the gas gauge...im assuming the sending units working because the needle moves as i turn the key on...but the gauge sits parellel with the dash all the way past full....any ideas or suggestions or ways to trouble shoot this please let me know and ill go try right now

check your power and ground at the pump or on the frame something may have got damaged since the truck is low to the ground if i remeber there should be a 5 volt referance wire if it is an electric pump ??

well just stopped at pizza shop and seen wire hanging and it comes from the tank has flat connector on the end...???black wire...ground? truck still runs and its short 2 to 3 foot

that should be the ground? i no that if the power or ground is not hooked up it will either read full or empty on the gas gauge
