hey i have a 1997 chev c1500 and looking to make it a dual exhaust just wondering what i need and how to go through with it? will i need another cadillac converter or take one off and run it staight pipe to the glasspacks?

your help would be awsome

that depends if u want to be legal or not, does that have an o2 sensor after the cat, if it does you will need to keep the cat on, if not and you dont care about being legal chop it off, but it will be loud with just glass packs(the cops frown upon just havin glasspacks)i found that out. there r many places out there that sell some good cat back exhaust for a resonable price

Is yours a 5.0 or 5.7? 5.7s should be dual-cat, the 5.0s are single-cat.

Neither, I guess. If it's the V6, it's definitely a single-cat.
