Has anyone thought of converting an Excursion to a dually, but making it a tandem dually? that's what i want to do, but am not sure where to begin.

Whoa! Are you talking just a single dually rear axle, or a double-dualie. Most of the conversions I've seen like that either use a T-case to transfer the power to the second axle, or a Rockwell-type axle with an external pinion with a U-joint attached to run power to the second axle. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I'd say either with a T-case, or a Rockwell-style setup.
