hey everybody. i have a 67 chevy c-10. this is my first oldskool by the way. it is a 2wd, shortbed, fleetside. heres the deal. i wanna lower it. what i have is a 67 cab, and frontend on a 68 gmc chassis with rear leaf springs. the front end suspension has been converted to power discs from a 76 half ton. i wanna do a 5-7 drop on it. in front i can find what i need to do the job: spindles and coils in front. in the rear, i cant seem to find a flip kit for my truck. plenty for 73-87. can i use on of those kits with success? also whats a decent brand for shocks?
thanks

The rear is the easy part. It's basically just lowering blocks, and maybe different rear leafs. The front might be a little trickier, but if you've got a '76 front end on it, you could see if parts for the '73-'87 might fit. Edelbrock makes some nice shocks, Bilstein are also good (but expensive).

alright...if i put blocks as it is right now it would lift instead of lower, but what i wanna do is put a flip kit for the rear leafs. do you know where i can get the right flip kit (axle locators, u-bolts, plates and shock extender mounts) for my truck? thats the part im having difficulty locating. thanks
