I don't know if anyone else is as excieted about this truck coming out as i'am... but I just wanted to ask if anyone knows when the guys at Truckin are going to be taking her out for a test drive. I really trust their opinion, and can't wait to see what they have to say... good or bad.

Here's what I know so far for sure. 390 hp Hemi, 407 lb./ft. of torque. Rear coil springs on the 1500, totally re-designed interior, bed with cubby-hole compartments. Don't know a whole lot on the upcoming diesels for the 1500, other than they're going to be from Cummins. I heard a 4.2L V6, and a 5.6L V8, but no power figures yet.
Towing capacity is slightly lower than the competition (probably because of the rear coils) but has a much smoother ride, supposedly. Also, Hemi Hybrid coming in '10.

Ohhh... I have done my homework on the truck, and I love it. I was just wondering when the people at Truckin were going to get their hands on one so we can see what they have to say. Thanks for all of the other info esanchez, you know I also heard that there is going to be a 7.2 twin turbo coming out for the 2500 and up, but thats just what I have heard. You know, I was also wondering if they are going to make the 6.1 available for the 1500, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

oxl, not sure about the 6.1. My guess is with the new 5.7, the power gap between it and the 6.1 is a lot smaller than it used to be, it'll probably be the top engine in the 1500 (except for the diesel, torque-wise.)
7.2 is possible. Although, I know the 6.7 is emissions-certified through 2010.
Short-bed, regular cab Ram 1500 with the new 5.7 Hemi should be a fun ride. I heard it'll do 0-60 in under 6! That's "haulin" and I don't mean hay!
