This is Jeff from Cooper Classics in NYC. I am putting together an event for the end of September. I am looking for a custom Seventies Van. Think a Shag Wagon or something like the Mystery Machine from Scooby *** The Event will be in NYC and your Van will only be driven by the you and will be fully insured while on set. Your vehicle will be treated the same way our vehicles (www.cooperclassiccars.com) are when they are on set. Nobody is jumping on your hood or driving your car through a flaming hoop on our shoots. If you are interested please email me pictures of your vehicle to info@cooperclassiccars.com or call Jeff at 212-929-3909. If you are interested in participating in photoshoots but do not have the correct vehicle for this shoot please visit www.cooperclassiccars.com/filmcars to submit into my filmcar database. I will have your info on file and will contact you for future shoots for your vehicle.
Thank You

Hi Jeff! We have some custom van enthusiasts on here, but most of them are on the West Coast. I'm sure you'll find some interested people.

We're on the case to help Jeff out. He has posted to all the van forums so without a doubt he'll get the van he needs. There are actually more active vanners in the New York area than on the West Coast.

I stand corrected, Showtrux. No disrespect intended to the East-Coast vanners.

No problem Ed. That is the biggest problem we have with vanning getting into the magazines that are mostly based in California. Where there were once 100 van clubs in SoCal there are but a handful left. These clubs are quite active but their membership is no where near the levels of the seventies. I just came from a van run this weekend in Pennsylvania where we had 193 vans. There's a good chance that I found the van needed for this production at this event. This van was built and muralled in the 70's and is in immaculate condition and is not far away in Maryland:
