Hey Guys. I was wondering if anyone knew how much work needed to be put into converting my 96 halfton 2wd to a 70's ish 318. Can i use the same tranny? Where can i get motor mounts? How much of an electrical nightmare will it be? can i use the mechanical fuel pump and Carb?

Putting an older engine in a newer vehicle can be tricky. Not to mention illegal in some states. If you're going for that "classic" look, I know the early fuel-injected Dakota 318s still had the old-school round air cleaners on top of the engine. So that's a possible option.
