I need some opinion!! I am thinking about dropping this truck to the ground. I think it would look sic If this happens I am going to be running 22" down star with grappler tires. there will be more work involved before the project is done but if anybody has pics of a truck like this being done I would love to see them. All opinions are accepted......

I'm having a hard time envisioning it. So you're basically talking about slamming a truck on off-road tires?
Also, lowering a 4x4 is a little tricky. Much trickier than lowering a 2WD. Just some things to think about before proceeding.

I would suggest you raise your truck, not lower it considering its a 4x4...

You mean the Nitto's? Your local tire store can match up, let's say 17's to be the same height that you're currently running.

The tires you are talking about are the Nitto Dune Grapplers. They are made for lifted trucks. They are sand tires, hince the name - "Dune" Grappler. And lowering a Z-71 would not be a very smart idea simply because the Z-71's have a 1 inch body lift as well as 4 wheel drive. And i'm a 4X4 lifted truck kinda guy, but if i was going to start investing in a lowered truck, i would start with a good "base" truck. This would mean no 4 wheel drive and the reason for that is because u are probably not going to use it if u r going to lower ur truck and having the 4 wheel drive would then be pointless as well as an extra heavy load that u dont need to begin with. The extra 4 wheel drive parts are not exactly light and that would make ur truck that much more slow and uneconomical. If i were u, i would deffinitly lift it instead because it has the characteristics of a lifted truck already. U can do so much more with lifted trucks anyway. And they r much more "eye-catchy" in public. And chicks dig em more.
