I've got a 91 Chev 1500 that is now well into the process of beind brought bad from the dead. The body's gone, the motor/tranny pulled, and I'm left with frame rails and wheels. Cool! got everything all nice and powdercoated and it's looking good. Now it's time to start planning the buisness end. I think a 355 or even 383 will saffice with a modest 450 Horse or so, and a Street Fighter TH-350 should get this dog moving in the right direction, I hope. The final ride height will be a 2/4 drop over stock, and I plan to use the stock 10-bolt rearend to make those horses giddy-up! Now it's your turn, I need to know (1) what gears do I run in back to really stick it to the 4-bangers, (2)Nitrous or no Nitrous, and (3) let's talk exterior. This sholuld be fun!

I have a 97 i did a 357 with Rhs heads. Have u thought about doing a carbed 6.0 L outa a truck. You spray that or turbo it be a nasty street fighter. I would go with a 150 shot on a 4:11 9" ford rear end with caltracks.

I have thought a little about it, but I want to stick with the tried and true. the 350 and it's variations are some of the most reliable engines out there, especially when pushed to the edge like this. It will definatley be carbed. The computer, wiring harness, everything is already gone. Most likely I will go with a Blueprint (or similar) long block and top it off with a Dual Quad setup (they are nice and powerfull when you need it, but cruisin' you're only running on one smaller carb). This combination, depending on size, should make 405-440 horse. The only problem with a prebuilt engine is that I don't feel very comfortable hitting hypereuteric pistons with that heavy of spray. thanks for the ideas though. I want to try and keep with the stock rearend, for two reasons. One, it already has an Eaton Posi center, and Two, the kit to convert to rear disc brakes is very easy to find off a camaro from the junkyard.
