My wife has an 04 tahoe (barn door model) We are wanting to put in LED taillights. Have found great deals on Ebay but most says will not fit barn door model. MY question is whats the diffrence between barn door and the other? Can I make the lights work?

From the outside, there might not be a difference, but my guess is the backside of the taillights might be a little different between the barn-door and non barn-door models, because of hinge clearance on the barn door models. You might be able to notch the housings to get them to fit, but I'm not 100% positive.

The difference between the barn doors and hatch doors on Tahoes and Yukons is hatch doors lift up and barn doors swing open. As an owner of a tahoe with barn doors, they open to stay 90 degrees when placing groceries or whatever; then they can be open even more until they lay almost against the taillights for loads that need more clearance which will result in you cracking the lights since they weren't design to be placed on models with barn doors since they swing open instead of up.The new lights you're asking about sticks out more that the stock lights which would work only if you don't use the back doors.
