It may take some time for the aftermarket to make a header that will help and not hurt exhaust flow over the stock manifolds.

Yeah, the OEs have actually gotten a lot better about optimizing stuff from the factory. Ever since computer-aided design got big, they can really engineer things for good performance from the factory. The gains you get from the aftermarket aren't as big as they used to be, if you're just talking about bolt-ons. But if you're really willing to dig in and start taking stuff apart, you can see big gains.

the only thing im finding wrong with what you are saying is that there is no way a stock manifold is going to out flow a header. the gain is not as big as they used to but they still outflow.

I currently have an 05 Ford Super Crew 4x4 that I like very much. I am looking at an 06 MegaCab 5.9Cummins with 77000 miles. Does anyone have info on these with that kind of mileage? Any info regarding the megacab would be helpfull.

bigred, Once again, if the aftermarket's R&D cant find any power gains with the designs they come up with, then they wont make the Headers available....
