I drive an 02 F-150 with the 4.6 lt. V-6, at 52,000 mi. the motor seized. I have impecably maintained my truck, amd did not abuse it in any way. I contacted several engine rebuilder/installers and many of them told me of a manufacture flaw in the V-6 motor that allows water to get into the oil. I just wanted to know if anyone else had heard of this, and how do I contact Ford about a possible recall on this motor.

hey im 16 now, ive read truckin' magazine every now and then after i buy it from the store, my stepdad owns a 50year edition F-150 3 door, 2wd, short bed V-8, and im not too sure on the year or engine, so bear with me. I'm a dodge fan(yes booo me)but he's gonna hand down the truck to me and its on its last leg with the engine, im tempted to get the engine rebuilt or ditch it for a new one, but im super short on cash right now(freaking schools) and i was wondering if there is a supercharger for the truck. I'm talking, the muscle car ones that stick out the hood and into the sky, the big air suckers. If there is one out there, please let me know, i want to turn heads senior year at school with this puppy with the high pitch whine as i start it up (hehe and i wanna smoke out the rich snobs and their bm-freaking-w's)so if you could help me, please let me know and thanks anyways-keep on truckin!

ive got a 98 f-150 ext cab with the triton V-8, ive added a Ractive air intake to it clear corber lenses & 3rd gen. tail lights. Right now im having problems with the rear end, its making a major whining & thump, thump thump noise on both sides, is this wheel bearings? or is the axles going out completely? I just checked & put synthetic gear oil in the chunk which was WAY low. Should i look into changing the whole rear end out anyways?
