Engine Swap 2002 Silverado

I have an 02 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 4.8L engine and was looking to put an 03 Silverado SS 6.0L engine in it. I was just wondering if anyone has done it before and knows what parts I need and what I need to do? I was also wondering if the 03 SS's were all-wheel drive?

hey as far as i know all ss trucks were all wheel drive. and the swap shouldn't be a problem. as far as i know you will just need all the electronics from the 6.0l truck that is your doner. like i said thats just what i can think of off hand. let me know how it goes i'm interested in doing that swap in my own truck.

I want to say there was a Dale Earnhardt edition Silverado SS that was rear-drive. But the majority of the late-model SS models were AWD.
