I'm thinking custom vans maybe would be a good boost in mag sales.there are still a lot ofold and new vanners out here that need a monthly magazine on there hobby vanning.

I'm thinking more in terms of functionality and interactivity. Content is a component, but I'm talking about more than just "we want more vans" or "we want more Chevys." Know what I mean? What other sites do you frequently visit and really like? Why do you like them?

heeheehee... us vanners are excited!

I'm brand new, but lurked for a while.  I have to say that I find the community difficult to navigate... I can only see the current blog features from the blog page... I have to find active links to get to archived blog topics.  It's also hard to tell if I'm moving from the blog to the forum or any other section... the links all look the same.  So maybe more clear navigation links (<< < 1 2 .. 5 > >> for what page of the blog directory, blog, forum list, topic... whatever) would help.

I like your "Truck Configurator" idea!  Please try to include a comprehensive list of trucks AND VANS!  Some people's ideas of their dream truck or van starts with the modest workhorses that can be aquired cheaply and turned in to a show stopping champion through your magazines features and advice... so let's not just show the Escalades and Navigators and Hummers that so few of your readers will ever own!  Real world rigs!  What do most of your readers wrench on?  Real world rigs!

I am a computer programmer, but most my online friends and I prefer a simple interface.  So maybe instead of listing a bunch of items that are going on in each part of the web site, use most "real estate" for the section the user is in (blog, forum, readers rides), and put sidebar sections to preview the other sections (the most recent forum post, a random readers ride, newest blog) I'd click to the different sections, if I found the one I was in simple to read and uncluttered.

Just looking at this screen, I cant tell what post I'm responding to... I hope this is the "the new truckinweb" topic...

I don't mean to disrespect or offend... but offering my perspective, leaving it to your discretion.

Thanks

sasktrini, do you have any examples of sites you like? That would be helpful. Thanks.

Less lambo doors and only big wheels if they tuck like. I noticed that I see less already since some people have left.  More custom vehicles that are cutting edge. Less bolt-on accesories and more one off mods.  How about tech articles that are showing more of these crazy mods?? I love the mag and wouldn't trade it for the world.

there should be less "main forums" i mean there is way too many forums to keep up with, slim it down make them more general, instead of having a bunch of small forums catering to specific subjects, make it more broad.
