I just bought a 1985 chevy k10 and it has drum brakes on the back. I went ahead and replaced the cyl. the new hardware and new drums. But when I went to put the new drums on it wont go on. I know i got the right size drums because both new drums fit on the right side. so any opinions on whats going on and ideas will help.

Sounds like the shoe actuator on the left-hand side might be out-of-whack. Were you able to get the old drum off on the left side? What do the shoes look like? Any irregular wear on them or the inside of the drum?
