DO ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH TROUBLE WILL IT BE TO INSTALL A 88 FUEL INJECTOR ENGINE IN A 81 CHEVY SWB?

i would personally fix up the original engine from the 81. break it down to the block and go to town. build a nice little 350hp/350ci.  lots of chrome awesomeness!

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. I don't think it really started getting tricky until the '96 model year when they switched over to port fuel injection. But like Yukon said...you might want to rebuild the original engine. Several companies offer aftermarket TBI setups, so if you want the drivability of fuel injection, you still have options.
