01YukonRollin: I really do appreciate the fact that vanners were the first guys to "pimp" their rides out. There will be a lot of guys who are going to snicker when they read this but I prefer a custom newer Astro to an older "classic van". I just don't see Vans in the same light as a classic truck, not better or worse mind you, just different. I can really appreciate a custom vehicle whether its an Econline or a Monte Carlo, if it is unique and different then to me its cool. I would like to see your guys' classic vans lying frame on 22's though. Just my 2 cents.
Without going into a "Vans are better then trucks" argument (or vice versa)...
I have to say that I noticed that my taste in trucks really changes over times. I used to think that 88 - 99 Chevy's and Astro's were to coolest trucks/vans out there. I used to hate the square styling of the '69 - '74 (I believe those are the years) C10's.
Now I prefer Mid Dodges and even the square Econolines of the third generation (I didn't even mind buying one!). And now I think that a lot of 88 - 99 Chevy's are really bland... Astro's have to be really cool to impress me!
But I always appreciate a well done truck, no matter the body style... Like that awesome red dually in this month's issue. Wow!
Also, great job on the cool slammed and flamed window van!
