I have a 2001 3500 with 44,000 miles. Their was a small tranny leak, and was in the process of fixing it. I let a buddy of mine use it for a quick trip into town. He burnt it up in the process. I am swapping out the Alison with a zf6. I am also putting a solid axel in the front; I want to use the Dana 60 from a ford F-350. But I need to find a transfer case. I know ford and Chevy both use the zf6 but with different bell housing bolt patterns. Will a transfer case from a ford bolt up to a Chevy zf6? Is the only difference between the ford zf6 and the Chevy is the bolt up pattern?
