Hey Fellas,
I need help.  I have a 05 Chevy crew cab 1500 that needs some suspension upgades and power upgrades.  I have already added a cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust, a programmer, and Monroe gas magnum shocks (which have about 30,000 miles on them now).  I am getting married in a few months and future "BOSS" has given me a budget of about $10,000.  
What I'm looking for is to add big disc brakes all the way around and maybe a supercharger.  My delima is in the suspension.  I would really like to upgrade the ride quality that my truck is lacking.  Is there anyone out there that help me and keep my truck at the factory height?

$10k is a fairly reasonable budget. First off..do you want to lower or lift it, or keep the stock ride height? A good supercharger system (new) will run about $3,500-5,000. Big Brakes can run about the same amount. Do you have factory rear discs now? That will make upgrading the rears easier. Although in all honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about the rears other than maybe some new pads and slotted rotors. Drilled rotors can sometimes develop stress fractures over time. From what I've seen Stoptech gives you pretty good bang-for-the-buck for big brakes. Hope this helps.

The truck has rear drum brakes and I really want to keep it at factroy height.  At the most maybe a 2in drop.  Will lowering the truck help with a better ride?  I use the truck in the country and I don't want to tear anything up if it was lowered.

if you're worried about ride quality up is always better than down. especially for those rough trails.  if you are still running stock rims and rubber i don't think you have to run a big brake kit.
