From a reply one of editor Dan Ward's recent blogs, based on the overwhelming response and feedback:

Ok fellas, back by popular demand....starting in issue 8 (the issue we start next week), there WILL be a van-dedicated feature.
If we receive a positive response from it, we will run more. If it continues to grow, we'll make it a monthly feature.

For those of you asking for Bob Ryder to come out to the Van Nats, we'll make that call based on the popularity of this new feature section.

We know where Truckin' came from, but it is up to you to support us going back to it.

Thanks for reading-
Ed. DAN

According to my schedule, that issue will officially go on-sale June 2, 2009. Subscribers will generally get their issue sooner than it hits the newsstands, but keep an eye out for it around that date. We really appreciate your support, and if that issue is a strong seller, you can bet there will be a lot more van articles in the magazine and online!

The best thing you can do is get the word out about issue 8, and coverage of the van scene in Truckin'. And when that issue comes out, encourage as many of your friends as possible to buy it!

Awesome! The past couple of issues I was wondering why I was still buying the magazine seeing as though most of the vehicles covered really didn't trip my trigger. Yes the trucks covered are amazing, but I'm not a truck kind of guy. I still look at the "Van Spectacular" issue from a year or two ago and think "When is the next one coming?" Now to find out that Bob Ryder is getting a chance to bring vans back to Truckin' in a big way makes me glad I kept buying Truckin'.

I really appreciate your guys' enthusiasm, and the best way to ensure that vans will continue to be a significant and regular part of the magazine is to continue to provide feedback to the editors, and to buy issue 8, and tell all your van enthusiast friends to as well.

It seems the van scene is finally being picked up on the radar of the editors again.

Maybe this will get you motivated to finish your project van now Radicalran. Randy built what many of us consider one of the top custom vans ever built called Heavy Metal. Full story and pictures here: http://showtrux.com/showvans/heavymetal/index.htm

Man, that looks like the offspring of K.I.T.T. and the A-Team van!
