I have a 86 nissan 2wd d21 I am putting a injected 302 in it out of a 89 mustang with a c-4. I was wondering how scared I should be about the nissan rear end? will it live for a little bit?

Honestly, Ford 8.8 or 9-inch rear ends are so common and relatively cheap, that I'd probably go ahead and upgrade the same time I did the swap. I think it would be cheap insurance. You're about doubling the horsepower and torque from what the truck originally had, so I'd say it'd probably be your best bet to upgrade the rear end.

i would definately look at getting the ford rearend.  better safe then sorry, no sense in being stranded because you turned the gears in your rear end to soup.
