i have a 2000 gmc sonoma. ever since i have had it it has always had a problem with having enough power. i have replaced the egr, fuel filter, catalytic convertor, the throttle position sensor. the issue has partially been resolved but it is still doggy. so my issue is when i take off and i give it some gas it will just act like it has no power and it will occasionally pop though the throttle body , but it never stalls out i just put it to the floor and nothing is there. but if i lighly step into it until i get to about 20 mph or so and ill kinda punch it, itll just take it off. this a big problem for because if i get into traffic it has nothing to get it along. another reason i hate this is cuz i hate having a truck that runs like sh*t. so if anyone can help me with please let me know. you can reply to this or email me at natedawg_1986@yahoo.com. thank you

First of all, V-6 or 4-cylinder?

Sounds like it could be the idle air control system. Have you had that looked at?

actually i just fixed it.....and it was the mass air flow sensor, now my truck is shifting better, it gets up and goes balls out. my miss is gone everything, cuz i took it and had it put on a friends computer and it was kicking like 6 codes at least, i started with the ignition module and the evaporator sensor and that didnt do it so just by chance i just happened to unhook the air flow sensor and it kinda cut out, then straightened out and ran beautifully....thanks

That was going to be the next thing I was going to suggest. Actually, at a quick glance, I thought you'd already mentioned the MAF in the rundown of things you'd mentioned, but I guess not. Yep...bad sensors can throw your performance off big-time.
