will dropping transfer case mess tranny up

i have a 85 k10 pick up 1/2 ton and just put 6" lift and 35" tires. i need to drop my transfer case but since its attached to my trany will it mess it up?

If you did a body lift, it wouldn't affect the drivetrain geometry, but if you do a suspension lift, it would throw it off a little. I'm not enough of an expert to tell you whether or not it's something to be concerned about. I'd say a reputable shop that does a lot of work on 4x4s could make some good recommendations in that area.
