New to the 'Truckin' forums and in need of advice.
I am looking for colored black plastic or black chrome replacement emblems and letters for a 2009 Chevy 2500 HD truck.  Would like to change the gm block emblem and the '2500 HD' lettering on each front door, and the 'SILVERADO' & 'LTZ' lettering on the gate over to either black plastic or black chrome.  The truck is currently white, soon to be painted either red pearl or dark blue pearl.
Has anyone ever found either out there?  The only think I've found are black grilles.  Don't need a black grille, just the lettering.
I tried painting the letters after sanding with a red scotch brite pad, but the paint didn't stick too well.  Next I tried the sanding and then priming, but again the paint started to chip off.  I was wondering if the plastic chrome letters would standup to bead blasting, in order that the chrome would be able to support and keep paint from eventually chipping off?  Unless there are replacement black lettering.  Any ideas would be welcomed.

Try going to Chrome Auto Emblems, they have a whole set of black chrome letters. http://www.chromeautoemblems.com.
