Honestly, I think the "fit" has more to do with the quality of the installation itself than the shape or size of the head unit. I'm trying to remember what the size was for the '99s. I want to say it's either 1.5 DIN or double-DIN. There should be plenty of options out there. I'm not really an expert on audio install, so hopefully someone else can jump in here that has a little more knowledge on the subject.
