If you're going to do a V8 swap, there's no reason not to get a 350. Externally, there's virtually no difference between that and the 305. Depending on where you live, swapping an older motor into a newer vehicle is technically illegal (such as California.) Probably the biggest issue you're going to run into is electronics compatability. If possible, try to find an engine as close to the same model year as your vehicle, as that will maximize your chances that the electronics will work. You may still need to get a new engine computer to make the engine run, but the other accessories should work correctly.

I think that the 6cylinder can be a little torque monster. Lets see something turbo'd out!

I put a 1974 350 with 440hp in a 95 s10 4x4 blazer it was not all that easy but it was fun. Now i'm looking to ro a full axel conversion and would lofe some feedback on the best axel to use and if i can leave my stock rear in and just change the front. I want to do a spring over in the rear and leaf springs in the front. any and all feedback will help
