So I just got my license a couple weeks ago and I've been looking high and low for suv or a truck. Only thing is that I need some help on what I should be looking for, it needs to be relatively cheap(somewhere in the area of 7,000) yet low in mileage(preferably something under 100,000). It does not need a lift or any other modifications because once I have enough money saved up I am going to be lifting it myself, with my Uncle. I have been looking at Jeeps, mainly Cherokees and Grand Cherokees, but also some ford trucks. If you know of what I should be looking for or you know of anybody selling in the Washington DC area, help me out.
Thanks, John T.

Hard to go wrong with a clean '88-'98 GM full-size truck or SUV. I'd personally try to find a '95 or newer model, since they got updated interiors. '96 and newer have port fuel-injection. There are plenty of them out there, and plenty of aftermarket parts to customize them. For around $7k, you could probably pick up one of the newer-gen trucks or SUVs, ('99-'06). I take it since you're looking at Jeeps, you want something more off-road oriented?
